Does anyone else feel like me ? . . . . . . it's nice to get back to normal . . .happy sigh. . . .so it's into the first Texture Tuesday of the year.
We've got some roses which are starting to bloom again . . .they always do this at this time of year here on Kos . . .so I've been taking photos of them whenever I can. this is a shot of a lovely pink tinged bud which will turn into a highly scented white rose. . .the scent is delicious.
I've called this "poignant" as there seemed to be that sort of quality to it when I had finished . . . .kind of wistful.
and this is a screenshot of the layers
I'll post this to Kim's site as soon as . . . .and I can have a good look at what everyone has been producing.
This second image is in respone to a challenge of Kim's in the Test Kitchen.
this is my version of her "red barn" using the "embrace" texture.
Happy Tuesday everyone,
Love Teresa xx :-)

Yes, it feels great to get back to normal, I took down all the decorations today! Your rose is just lovely...dang, i forgot about Texture Tuesday starting up...I'd better get busy on it...Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe're just beginning winter here in the Midwest USA, so I'm grateful for your beautiful rose! So lovely and I think your title of the piece is perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness but do you ever have some of the loveliest photographs of flowers, Teresa! Your latest pink rose bud being yet another lovely example of that. Beautiful photograph and texture work. Too, I am intrigued by your pink bud eventually turning into a white rose. How lovely. I love white flowers. I hope you'll take a photograph of it once its completed its magical transformation. :)
ReplyDeleteTeresa, this is so lovely; I can almost smell it!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely and beautiful, it is like a new beautiful start for new year. Do you have warm in Kos in this time, +15 or colder? I wish I could come there:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Theresa, I love your images.

Wishing you a happy day!
Wow ....this is stunning ! Lucky me, I've just stumbled upon Kim's site for the first time.
ReplyDeleteIf this is what you get after Kim's tutorial's and expertise, I better join the bandwagon.
Cheers,
Brenda
What a gorgeous rose and great shot. I love the added texture.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Kathy
Oh...love both of these images! I just re-joined Test Kitchen this week, so didn't see that challenge for the red barn. I love your version...and I love 'poignant.'
ReplyDeleteNicely done!!! How do you keep folks from right-clicking your photos and scalping them? Visiting from TK!
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa - I've just found you here as well, what a treat ! Loved seeing the screen shot of the layers panel and would so welcome more of those so I can at least attempt to emulate your beautiful work though I know deep down I couldn't get anywhere close. Thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI've had to give up Kim's Test Kitchen to take part in Beyond Layers...I so miss it! Isn't she just a lovely, lovely lady!?
