This week at Pixel Dust Photo Art the idea is to look back on something we have produced but not really done anything with . . . .this photo is one of those.
I took it in the summer when I went for a day trip to the island of Kalymnos and when I saw it I was taken with how "old fashioned" everything looked . . . .so that was the feel I wanted to give to it.

Doesn't the summer feel a long way away now . . . . .lucky you in the Southern Hemisphere :-))
Hope your weekend is really enjoyable . . . wherever you are.
Love Teresa xx :-)

Good morning,
ReplyDeleteThose rather sloppily covered sunshades made me laugh.
A bit like a pigeon's nest: hit or miss.
I reckon the Spanish ones are a touch more efficient.
Nice atmosphere you created.
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI was in Spain week ago but still it feels it was like million years ago when I saw the light and sun. In Finland it is so dark, I have to turn on every lamp but it is still dark:)
Have a nice weekend
lovely sunny effects and a great atmosphere - want to walk right into it
ReplyDeleteVery inviting sunny scene. I wouldn't mind taking a seat under those amazing umbrellas.
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa, I like the atmosphere you created with this photo. I looked through some of your previous posts, and like them all. I don't know why sometimes we think we have to pick a favorite.. I was really drawn to your photo of the ropes and shadows, but I couldn't choose a favorite because I like them all. I hope to look more closely at your blog when time allows me to do so. Your life in Greece looks so exotic and heavenly. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteA great edit, Teresa. It looks like a fifties movie set to me. Ah yes, I would love to wiggle my toes in that sand right about now - here in dreary, snowy Montreal. Thanks for sharing with Photo Art Friday!
ReplyDeleteMmmm...lovely scene! So inviting.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, love it! So dreamy... I wish I was walking on that warm sand right now! :)
ReplyDeleteAh, summer... I am so glad the weather was nice and sunny while I was in Italy in October, coz summer forgot about Scotland this year :(
Have a lovely rest of the week!
that steals my tongue!! awwwwwwe....
ReplyDeleteMagnificent work Teresa, and oh would I love to be there!!
ReplyDeleteAh, beautiful edit! I live on the gulf coast of Texas so it's mild here in the winter - in fact it was just in the low 90's last week!
ReplyDeletefantastic, and I agree with your sentiment!
