These pods make lovely whooshing noises as the are blown together in the breeze and are the seed pods from the albitzia tree. I'll post a photo of the flowers later because you may call it my another name in your part of the world.
So, this is my TEXTURE TUESDAY entry this week.
I used the textures "and then some" and "serious magic"
These are the flowers strutting their stuff this summer.
Pretty aren't they.

Love Teresa xx:-)
Great photos and I love your use of textures on the pods.
ReplyDeletei love the diversity of plants around the world what a lovely shot you took and the textures work well here
ReplyDeleteHappy morning! :)
ReplyDeleteI love these huge pods, Teresa! Fabulous texture work, your image reminds me of a watercolor :)
Have a lovely day! Ciao from sunny Italy.
Lovely and a change from flowers, but I still look forward to those as well. The pods say Judastree but the leaves tell a different story. Wishing you a happy November with many days of your kind of weather.
ReplyDeleteOh! I know the whispering sound of these pods...great photo!yvette@twistedvines
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa; this is the most beautiful photograph/the seeded pod with such light flowing through it; wonderful photography. Enjoyd the added textures you used.
ReplyDeleteLove those, beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAs always your photos and edits are awesome! These trees must be a sight toehold when they are in bloom. Love your work...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Teresa! love the lighting in this photo and the way you textured it. We had a beautiful vine growing on the front of the house where we used to live in AZ that had pods similar to these, but they had a hard shell, no sunlight would have come through. And the blooms were very different!
ReplyDeleteNice shot! Wonderful backlighting with plenty of detail. Wonderful textures too.
ReplyDeleteInteresting pods and you have showcased them very well. The texture works perfectly. Love the flowers that it bears too. Very pretty. I bet the sound is very pleasing to hear from the pods.
ReplyDeleteLocust tree maybe?
ReplyDeleteWhat's in a name?
It's lovely with the light coming through.
Beautiful edits, Teresa!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the sunlight shows the little seeds inside the pods.
ReplyDeleteWe have a few planted along some of our side streets, We call ours Crested wattles.
This is so pretty. I have these in my yard in North Carolina and we call them Mimosa trees.
ReplyDeletereally wonderful!!!
ReplyDeletestunning!! i love the pods and the flowers!
ReplyDeleteLovely!!! I really enjoy being part of a world-wide community--it is fascinating to see all the different kinds of plants that grow in someone else's back yard. Your image of the seed pods is so well done - I love the back lighting.
