Texture Tuesday "Gratitude"

Over at KimKlassen cafe today the theme is "gratitude"

I've chosen to work on this picture of some little Greek fishing boats in a tiny harbour on the island of Kalymnos. I must admit I really struggled with the theme but on looking at these  boats I thought of how grateful all fishermen must be to reach the safety of harbour after a rough trip.. . . .  .I suppose it's a metaphor for life really . . . .. I know I'm so grateful to have found my safe harbour in God's loving arms.

The textures I used were "walnut ink" "grunge" and "magic"

    And such subtle texturing.
    Not having your editing programme, I can't really appreciate the flow chart, but it looks impressive.

    This is really great, Teresa! I love this shot and the metaphor of God's safe harbor of love. There is a water color quality to your texturing! Very nice work!

    This is so lovely -- looks like a painting. I just love the colors of Greece; you've expressed them so perfectly here. Wonderful expression of the theme.
